PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
In addition to my private practice, I worked for the Student Counselling Service at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2015 to 2019, and for 6 years at the Windsor & Maidenhead Youth and Community Counselling Service.
I am a Registered and Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) - meaning my post-qualification practice met their higher standards for Accreditation. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the counselling professions.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I initially worked for a large broadcasting corporation, progressing to a complex managerial role responsible for multiple teams across a busy 24/7 environment. I understand from first-hand experience the pressures of a demanding workplace. I decided to change direction, qualifying as a yoga teacher in addtion to undertaking counselling training while raising my children.
Having taught yoga and relaxation classes for 15 years, I have substantial experience in offering mindfulness and breathing practices which help alleviate anxiety and stress.
I am an experienced counsellor with over 3.000 clinical hours of counselling experience since qualifying in 2014. I continue to engage in a variety of CPD (Continuining Professional Development) training, have regular professional supervision, professional indemnity insurance, and a DBS Enhanced Certificate.
